This is a rare understory palm from Vanuatu (Tanna and Anatom islands) where it grows in the underwood of the humid forests, mainly along the coasts. The Snakeskin palm in habitat grows to about twenty feet tall, but much smaller in cultivation, with a trunk a foot and a half in diameter and when young is very difficult to distinguish from the Caryota zebrina. The leaves of C. ophiopelis are less glossy, a lighter green and thinner or finer, the leaflets less diamond shaped than Zebrina and mature trees would be much smaller than Zebrina. It will tolerate no cold, needs filtered light or shade, rich soil and ample water.
Caryota ophiopellis is a monoecious, monocarpic species (it does fructify only once then dies). Quite rare in cultivation, it arouses an increasing interest due to the unusual and showy coloration, in particular in the young plants. It requires a tropical or humid subtropical climate, a shady position during the young stage, slightly shaded when adult, and draining soils, slightly acidic to neutral, maintained humid. The starch contained in the stem, extracted with a special procedure and cooked to prepare a sort of bread, is still now utilized by the local populations.

Adenium Jasmine White - is an unusual variety name, as it's not a jasmine at all, but its pure white flowers certainly resemble the delicate beauty of a jasmine bloom! The crisp, ruffled petals and soft yellow center create an elegant and serene look, making it a graceful addition to your garden.

Adenium Kimson Red is a bold and eye-catching desert rose with richly textured petals and vivid color contrast. The large double bloom opens in deep red and raspberry tones, streaked with lighter pink highlights that give the petals a brushed, almost feathered appearance.
The flower forms a layered rosette with slightly ruffled edges, creating a full, sculpted bloom. Toward the center, the petals curl inward into a tight spiral, adding depth and movement to the flower. Occasional creamy white patches appear on some petals, making each bloom slightly unique.
Against the glossy green leaves, the vibrant red tones stand out strongly, giving the plant a dramatic and luxurious presence when in bloom.
The name Kimson comes from Vietnamese - Kim often means gold or precious. Son can mean mountain, but in plant names it can also relate to color or ornamental beauty. Together Kimson can be interpreted loosely as "Golden Mountain" or "Precious Beauty." In horticultural naming, it usually implies something valuable, rich in color, or jewel-like, which fits this striking red flower very well.

Colorful plant from South East Asia with variegated green and white leaves, with an irregular dull green pattern extending from the mid vein to almost the edge of the leaves. Evergreen tropical shrub to 6 feet, but can be kept to 3 feet as a greenhouse or indoor plant. Flowers are tubular, reddish-purple. Best with bright light and moist soil. Use in tropical landscape beds or in mixed containers. A lightly shaded position is ideal.

Holmskioldia citrina - Rare variety - bright yellow flowers. Sometimes this species is called Holmskioldia sanguinea Mandarin. Unique flowers are the main interest of this scrambling shrub: each is a narrow, tube backed by a broad, circular calyx.

South African Jasmine. Star-shaped, fragrant 1 inch flowers in summer. Three-part dark green glossy leaves, vining stems. Evergreen woody scandent shrub to train up a wall or as a wall shrub in a conservatory. Small lanceolate leaves in groups of three, summer flowers are fragrant, simple star shaped, white and held on the plant in vertical groups.

Italian jasmine. Jasmine oil is extracted from the flowers and is imported from India. It has a rich, warm, sweet scent. It is a middle note in perfumery.

Japanese Jasmine, Primrose Jasmine - very unusual jasmine with bright yellow double flowers. This is one of the most valuable plants in landscaping. It grows wonderfully in mass plantings, very fast growing, well-contollable by pruning. The more you cut it, the bushier it gets, forming a nice dense cloud of dark green foliage with yellow double flowers scattered like a bright cover. Use it mass plantings, as a small hedge or to trail over fences or walls, to cover unwanted views and ugly corners.

Angel Hair Jasmine. Bushy dense vining shrub with star-like white fragrant flowers and soft velvet leaves. Very fast growing, great for hedges.

Jasminum sambac Arabian Knights (Arabian Nights). Rare variety of Jasmine Sambac with small double flowers and vining habit. Slow, compact grower.

Jasmine Sambac Belle of India (var. Elongata). Very popular variety with long narrow petals. In India, it also goes under name Mangalore Malli, Uduppii Malli, or Shankarapuram Malli. Everybody wants this one because it has such a fine structure and elegant flowers.

Jasmine sambac Grand Duke - The biggest flower variety, the Grandest of all Jasminum sambac. Flowers are 1-1.5 inch wide, triple, like little carnations. Blooms profusely from April through June, then sporadically during the year. Dark green leaves are very ornamental. This variety grows as a medium size bush, very slow growing. Trim regularly otherwise it may become leggy. Tolerates shade, great container plant, can be grown as indoor plant too, providing enough light. The more light, the more flowers you will get. Keep somewhat on dry side: sambacs don't like too much water and bloom better in dry conditions. If grown indoors, watch for insects (spider mites). Fertilize once a month during warm season.

Jasmine sambac Mysore Mulli. Fast growing variety with highly fragrant double flowers. Can be grown as a vine or trimmed as a dense shrub.
